Wisconsin bound ewes, and the end of the spring work!

ewes onto truck

Ewes headed onto the truck. They will enjoy several more years of easier living on a farm in Wisconsin.

Today we loaded the open ewes    onto a truck bound for Wisconsin. We have just trailed the yearling ewes from their Badwater spring pasture and onto their Medicine Bow National Forest grazing allotment.

Last weekend, we loaded the last of the wool onto trucks and we branded (almost) the last of the calves.

All this must mean that the spring work is finally done and we are headed into summer.
